We decided since everyone is talking about airdrops in the past couple of days, we should include a part for them on our newsletter for this week.

Airdrop Season

As we all know airdrops are the trend now! Everybody begins sharing information about airdrops and so on…

What is a Testnet? Short for ‘test network’, a testnet is a test environment for developers to check network upgrades, concepts, integrations, etc. Differ from a mainnet — short for ‘main network’ — a testnet has no economic value. So, IT’S NOT REAL, FRIENDS :) But, once you participate maybe it’s your day for an airdrop!✨

Is it safe to connect your wallet to any project that claims to give free tokens ??

As ATTRACTIVE as this all sounds (who does not like free internet money?), this trend opens the door for multiple scams, where people interact with a smart contract and sign a request they might not understand as a whole.

If you do your research about the project and trust its developers, you can connect your Metamask to switch testnet world with your Metamask wallet.

However, as we all know, trends brings FRAUD with them… You can open a new Metamask address just to join such airdrop campaigns and testnet apps… You don’t want to lose what you have while making some free internet money.

We all know that we’ve been driven to Airdrops thanks to APTOS ! Did you know all 1500–7000 USD earners were applied late August to be able to eligible for an Airdrop..

Users were awarded with 150 APT few days ago and it reached up to thousand of dollars at the end. People even start buying & selling APT. Binance , FTX they all announced listing about APT and the price pumped immediately…

Now we are seeing more and more but you need to know it takes time and effort. Not everybody wins..

Tidbits

— An NFT for a three-bedroom house in South Carolina was sold for $175,000 to a real estate investor. Despite the fact that the transaction was made digitally, the ownership of the residence in the real world now belongs to whoever owns the NFT.

— Blur (a VC-funded marketplace) launched with an airdrop offering for $BLUR tokens. If you traded an NFT during the last six months, you qualify for the airdrop.

++Pacman’s (the founder of Blur) explanation on the investment from Beaniemaxi on Blur:

— Warner Bros. is releasing 10,999 NFTs based on The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. The company has teamed with Web3 startup Eluvio to create the NFTs.

— According to CPO Pali Bhat, since the series’ premiere in July, Redditors have generated more than 3 million Reddit Vault wallets to buy and trade NFT avatars.

— Walmart CTO believes that crypto is an important part of the future.

He says:

“Crypto will become an important part of how customers transact. We want to make sure that we make it as friction free for customers to be able to transact, and to be able to buy, and how they are able to derive value out of it. And that is where — I think a lot of the disruption is going to start happening in terms of different payment methods, different payment options.
The role of crypto is going to continue to play a very important role in that. And obviously, we want to be there where the customer really needs us to be.”
